Elderberry York (Sambucus canadensis York) is an ornamental Elderberry variety that produces very juicy purple berries. Grows to 10-12′ tall, 8-12′ wide. These plants have long been prized by many for their versatility. They are great for jelly, but are also good in pies and sauces, especially when mixed with other fruits to add a punch. They also possess many purported medicinal benefits.
Large white flower head attracts bees, butterflies and birds.
Not considered self pollinating, best to plant with Adams.
