Horseradish Bohemian (Armoracia rusticana Bohemian) produces large white roots that get hotter with age and will last a lifetime. Bohemian horseradish has narrower, smoother leaves, and better disease/pest resistance than common horseradish. Harvest in early spring (before growing season) or in the fall after a killing frost. Horseradish is adapted to the north and is best suited for southern planting in higher altitudes. Tip: allow the roots to develop by not harvesting the first season. Very disease resistant and tolerant of most types of soil.
Zone 3-8 hardy.
